Pastor Billy Newell (Pastor B) grew up in Wauchula, FL and lives in Anniston, AL with his wife Sandra. Together they raised 4 children and have 7 grandchildren.
Pastor B has earned the following degrees:
He has served God faithfully for over 40 years in the ministry. He has served in the roles of Evangelist, Associate Pastor, Worship/Music Leader, and Pastor. The last 30 years has been spent in the pastorate. He and Sandra have pioneered (founded) three separate churches. He successfully developed and set up a ministry training school in his last 3 churches, and these training schools served as a pilot program to the now Gatekeepers University (online school of ministry).
He is an avid musician and singer who has written over 50 original songs, some of which have been published and sang by other singing groups and soloists. He plays the keyboard, acoustic guitar, and bass guitar, and has created his own proven method of teaching students the keyboard.
Pastor B has traveled in 11 different nations including Europe, Canada, Central America, and South America. He has sat before high-ranking government officials and has earned the “Key to the City” in 3rd-world cities where he has provided educational, medical, and food supplies.
With no claims of his own, many consider him an apostle in the faith for his work in the Kingdom and in the lives of many he has mentored. He has a down-to-earth teaching delivery and easily unfolds difficult biblical subjects so they are understood by his hearers.
